Freenode is the home for tons of open source projects, and ours is yet another on the list. The engine we're basing our game on is on that server, as is the linux xfire client, not to mention several other projects I use on linux (rtorrent, openwrt, gentoo, to name a few).
The server where our channel lives doesn't really matter. It's already been setup on freenode, and has been for a few weeks now. Groznui and atrakeur are usually idling in there with me, but they're not there now.
I haven't setup any channel privilages yet, since I don't know who has registered with the server, but it's a trivial task. The sooner you all join, and register your nickname with freenode (and then tell me), the sooner I can get channel permissions established.
