Well.. there are lots of screens that could be posted on the main site. I will take some of my time to write a decent "news" but I'm bit busy and lazy atm :?

I still feel we should hold off on large public relations until we have something substantial to relate. There's been talk of posting news about "what's going to be in the game", but that's irresponsible, as we really can't say what will wind up in the game yet. That's the beauty of Open Source Software: it's limitless. For example, someone wanted to provide a list of "features" that will be in the game on the home page, but our plan for releases will give the wrong impression about the game with such a listing present. If people download the first release, and it doesn't have any of the features in that homepage list, then people will have the wrong impression about the project. Later, upon a newer release that might have that one über feature they were excited about, they might not even bother to check: "Oh, that. Yeah, it sucked, I remember the first release."

For an overview of the project, a roadmap if you will, take a look at the Game Treatment found on our Wiki. Even this is a very bare roadmap, and is definitely not something intended to be perceived as what the first release will include, rather it's a broad objective.

A lot of the information found therein was influenced by the Best of Tactical article, found on dslyecxi.com. Much was quoted outright, and footnotes are stll necessary. Likewise, much information is lacking from the G.T., as it was intended to get us talking about what we do and don't want in the game, as well as some things that are inherently subsections of features mentioned. Alas, the former didn't quite come to fruition yet. Most of us are quite busy with real life, and this is, after all, a hobby project.

If you really want that instant gratification feel for info about the game, idle in our IRC channel, #code43, on freenode.net

The developpement go as it goes...
I can't speak for all devs, but personnally, I work on it when I have some free time (with work and some social things, I don't have too much time...)
Anyway, I think you've allready seen the screenshots on the website...
I'm sorry but I can't tell you more than that...
We are still so far away from the final game...
I hope I'll release some screens of my map but...I have totally finished any significant part...

I just can say that I hope to see you again and again on this site/forum. why not join us on irc one day?
And BE AWARE of any official updates !

Absolutely, this is a hobby project for everyone on the team. We can't ask for anything more than "when you can".

Aaha, but there will never be a final game. That's the beauty of open source projects: they're never ending. They continue to grow and flourish for as long as there is interest in the project. One of my main objectives early on in this endeavor is to provide enough information (documentation, guidelines, etc.) to enable full participation from the community. It will take a great deal of time, but such is my goal (just read the Game Treatment, I know I mentioned it in there).

when i was starting with OR i tryed to contact mr. TeamCombat owner. But got no response.
:) I think he is just antisocial... and dont feel that Open Source is sexy, like me...
ah, im working in some models actually and still studing modeling, as OR continues, with a short to-do list and a simple game focus... for those who dont know me, im borges... im so bad educated... ¬¬' did even introduce myself
OR is my project with some friends very similar to CODE 43, but with less devs, i have some material from the team (suproject team), like weapons em a 3d character naked and unboned.
What i can help with code 43, it will be nice, im here cos im a FPS-OpenSource Lover.
Nice to meet you all

Hi! All :P :D

I'm HECKLER and Japanese.
And, I used to make some maps of tce 0.49b.

About it ,I have some questions about Mapping of Code43.
Code43 uses xreal engine. therefore, is it right that I am using at mapping "Xrealradiant"(xreal project's)?

And,

How much size is the scale of map?
(EX. TC:E 0.49b is 1unit for 2cm)

I want to make map if there is time...
I'm making map
"Suburb" : complete 10%
"Ship" : complete 55%(now active)

My Blog : Sea-OS : Blog
My HP : Sea-OS
My art is released in the following license:

Hello Heckler and welcome to Code43 forum. ;)

Yes, you are right, you need to use the xrealradiant to build maps for Code43.

And we aim at using the same scale ratio as TC:E 0.49b (1unit=2cm).

Ps. What maps have you made for TC:E so far?
