Emm.. if I get some strange flashing triangles of different colors when playing tce (and arma2) does this mean that my graphics card is failing? :?

Hm.. just got a VPU has just recovered your graphics card (or something similar)... well it looks like I?ll have to buy that radeon 5770 or 5850 after all. "Luckily" I don't have much time for games lately.. :S

$$$, performance, DX11, OpenGL 3.2, shader model 5.0

5770 saphhire vapor-X = 170€
5850 saphhire = 260€

GTX260 = 191€
GTX275 = 225€

http://ixbtlabs.com/articles3/i3dspeed/ ... eo-p2.html

Although the gtx260&275 are faster than hd5770 in most situations, I think that dx11 p.m. 5.0 and OpenGL 3.2 support and lower price are enough good arguments. What do you say?

if its about the money i would go with lower performance card but not ATI just because im scared of wasting $200 bucks on something that runs the programs im using slower than my current card or if at all..

and your on linux? i dont know if the case still is that ATI and linux doesnt like each others but that used to be the case.

And if you ask Mr G, he would BAN ATI cards as he bought one that was supposed to work for C43 but didnt...

If your using blender -> ATI is not your friend either...

In general, ATI doesn't have as good support of OpenGL as NVIDIA. That's what I've heard from all the Blenderheads.
